Today, Tucson’s notorious jefe Isaiah Toothtaker unleashes his long awaited album Illuminati Thug Mafia through a partnership between his own Machina Muerte label and Alpha Pup Records. Convicted multiple felon and founder of the prestigious tattoo parlor STARING WITHOUT CARING, Isaiah’s 18-track album features MURS, Mestizo, HUMANSUIT, Zackey Force Funk, Lucky.I.Am, CRIME KILLZ, Lush One, Cadalack Ron, Rheteric, Alex Pathetic, and SerpDot and production from Mainframe (Johnson&Johnson), Jacob Safari (Wavves), CRIME KILLZ, Eligh (Living Legends), Kid Static, LouisahHH, Masque Anonymous, The Briefcase, and Nick Sena. Re-living interminable nightmares, lurid street tales, torture tactics, and haunting threats through rhyme and reason, Isaiah takes listeners on a vivid ride through his warped mind to bring to life one of the most colorful, creative, and hard-hitting albums of 2011. Welcome to the bass-heavy house of  horrors.

For those not yet convinced of Isaiah’s intentions, he offers up a free tasty morsel with a downloadable mp3 of the haunting daymare “WTF You Say” featuring MURS to chew on. Following the screwed voice of famed Illuminist John Todd, enters Isaiah, half-laughing in disbelief, as he can’t believe what’s just been uttered. Driving hi-hats color Isaiah and MURS’ message, which comes in the form of warnings and threats to punks who lie and run their mouths. Meanwhile, synths deepen, grow more empty, and more shrill. Something seems wrong and something probably is. The reason why you know that something’s wrong is because Toothtaker wants you to know. Choose your words carefully.

Isaiah Toothtaker’s newest album Illuminati Thug Mafia is available now via Machina Muerte/Alpha Pup.

Continuing on from his success with “Get Choze” and “Real Heavy” in 2010, both of which are singles from Labor Of Love, Mr Brady starts this year with another laid back and relaxed track “Catch” featuring fellow west coaster Aloe Blacc. Mr. Brady eschews rhyming on Labor Of Love, instead handling production duties for the entire album. “Catch” is another perfect example of Brady’s ability to produce sonically pleasing beats all the while having the ear to select and pair those beats with the MC best fit to bless it. While Aloe Blacc has garnered much acclaim recently for his soul singing with tracks like “I Need A Dollar,” which serves as the theme song for popular HBO series How To Make It In America, this track finds Aloe returning to his roots, rapping on Mr. Brady’s soulful, pad- and key-heavy production.

Newark, New Jersey’s own Rah Digga is back with the latest in her Straight Spittin’ series, “Straight Spittin’ 4.5.” While Nottz handled production duties on the previous “Straight Spittin IV,” in addition to the rest of Digga’s highly lauded sophomore album Classic, Digga has teamed up with producer Marco Polo for this short but deadly follow-up track. Atop Marco’s guitar plucks, vocal samples, strings, and pounding drums, Digga picks up right where she left off, delivering a non-stop flow of vocal jabs with lines like, “The spitting’s comprehensive/ Y’all wordplay’s senseless/ I’m spitting every sentence, not knowing where the end is/ I’m spitting, spitting, spitting, ’till there ain’t no more remnants/ They saying, What’s Next? I’m saying, Back to the beginning.”

Rah Digga’s sophomore album, Classic, is now available via Raw Koncept Media Group.

Two years ago, IMAKEMADBEATS burst onto the scene, producing Transcontinental, a collaborative album with Roc C. Now, following the release late last year of IMMB’s dual-EP release Daylight/Nightlight, the producer is releasing his own, long awaited, solo debut. And in celebration of today’s release, the producer, who calls both Memphis and Orlando home, is releasing “Heard Of Me,” the latest single from his self-titled new album.

“Heard of Me,” one of the most triumphant tracks on the album, features Black Milk, Butta Verses, and TzariZM, while showcasing IMAKEMADBEATS’ trademark soulful style. Beginning with reverberating organ and slick drum rolls, the track quickly jumps into chopped samples and rolling, thunderous drums, with Black Milk handling duties on the first verse, followed by Butta Verses before being finished off by TzariZM. “I’ve done a lot of production for either lesser known artists, or very well known artists and just wasn’t given the credit, ” says IMMB in discussing the inspiration for the song’s title while alluding to his past work and ghost production. “Whether it was through engineering, DJ’ing, or production, somehow you might have heard of me.” And with his debut album dropping today, fans should get used to hearing from IMAKEMADBEATS a lot more from now on.

IMAKEMADBEATS’ self-titled debut IMAKEMADBEATS is available now via Doxside Music Group.

Bay-Area super group Hieroglyphics are back in a big way, releasing a new song “Reputation” in conjunction with a series of paintings inspired by the group from When Art Imitates Life (W.A.I.L.) – Hiero served as the guiding creative force behind the Hieroglyphics Legacy and Monument Series
paintings. From music to art to clothing collaborations, and more, the legendary Hiero crew has certainly earned quite a “Reputation,” and the aptly named song celebrates the Hiero legacy. This no-frills track is all about the flow; synthy guitar riffs and bare bones beats leave the listener free to focus on the killer verses – these seasoned veterans need no embellishment. “Sorry that we kept you waiting… sort of like a test of patience/had to come up with the best arrangement,” A-Plus tells fans, who definitely won’t hold the group’s absence against them with a new track out and their upcoming West Coast tour to look forward to.

After releasing the two-part EP, Daylight/Nightlight, and “I Bet,” the Von Pea-, J. Freedome, and Xodus featuring first leak from the producer’s forthcoming self-titled debut, IMAKEMADBEATS is now treating fans with a full sampling of the album. The LP will be released on January 18th via Doxside Music Group and features the likes of Black Milk, Steele of Smif N Wessun, Planet Asia, Butta Verses and TzariZM, and more. The album sampler is a compilation of songs that puts IMAKEMADBEATS’ production skills on full display, showing off his far reaching diversity and depth of sound. With tracks ranging from hard hitting grit (“Heard Of Me,” “Spazz”) to emotionally charged (“What’s It Gonna Be”), the album maintains a level of soulfulness that has become a hallmark of all IMAKEMADBEATS work.

IMAKEMADBEATS’ self-titled debut will be available January 18th via Doxside Music Group.
